At 100x you can see the primordial follicles distinctly near the outer edge of the ovary, and espeically the primary follicle  with its single layer of follicular cells and primary oocyte inside. The outermost epithelial edge of the ovary is termed the germinal epithelium, although it has nothing to do with oogenesis.
